Working hours: Full time, including evenings and late nights

A major London live music and late‑night venue is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to oversee the operational delivery of its busy programme of live shows, club nights and late‑night events. This hands‑on role sits at the centre of venue operations, ensuring every event is fully prepared, delivered smoothly and closed down to exceptional standards. Working closely with senior management and internal teams across production, technical, bars and events, the Venue Manager will lead Front of House and security teams, maintain a strong on‑site presence, and uphold the venue’s reputation for outstanding guest experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Operational leadership — Manage the preparation and delivery of live shows, club nights and late‑night events.

  • Event planning — Produce clear operational plans that reflect promoter, artist, and organiser requirements.

  • Promoter liaison — Act as a key operational contact for promoters and partners.

  • Team coordination — Lead Front of House and security teams to deliver safe, efficient guest experiences.

  • Cross‑team collaboration — Work closely with production, technical, bar and events teams to ensure seamless operations.

  • Event logistics — Oversee venue set‑up, operational requirements and live issue management.

  • Live event delivery — Maintain a visible presence during events, ensuring smooth operations from doors to close.

  • Operational improvement — Identify opportunities to improve systems, procedures and efficiency.

  • Cost control — Support monitoring of event costs and operational budgets.

  • Guest experience — Champion exceptional guest experience and ensure the venue is consistently presented to high standards.

  • Issue resolution — Resolve operational issues quickly and professionally.

  • Team leadership — Motivate and support operational teams, ensuring training and high performance.

  • Health & safety — Maintain a safe, compliant environment and enforce venue procedures and licensing requirements.

  • Incident response — Respond confidently to incidents and ensure learnings are applied.

We need someone who is:

  • Experienced in live music, nightlife or licensed venue operations

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Calm, confident and decisive under pressure

  • A natural problem‑solver with a solutions‑focused approach

  • Strong in hospitality and guest experience

  • Skilled in communication and relationship‑building

  • Comfortable working with production and technical teams

  • Knowledgeable about London’s live music and cultural landscape

  • Ideally holding a Personal Licence, BIIAB Level 2, IOSH or SIA training (desirable)
