Work placement programme (July 2025)

Hello from the Work Placement team at The Event Academy! 

The time has come for us to begin our search for amazing work placements for our current cohort of postgraduate students. If you are interested in taking one of our outstanding, work-ready students to support your team, we would like to invite you to send us a job description using the ‘APPLY’ tab at your earliest convenience.

Students will be available to begin a 3 month work placement with you from approximately Monday 21st July 2025, however there is some flexibility if you have a particular project in mind.

→ Employer call-out.We’re inviting companies to express interest and submit job descriptions.

📌 From Monday 19 May 2025
→ Student CV’s sent to employers. You’ll begin receiving CV’s from our work-ready postgraduate students.

📌From Wednesday, 21 May 2025

→Interviews can start. Our students get snapped up very quickly so please book interview dates as soon as you can.

📌From Monday 21 July 2025
→ Placement start window opens. 3 - 6 month work placements begin.

We work closely with many leading organisations like yours to place our students at the heart of the event industry, and hope that you will want to participate in this programme this year. We are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, certified by the CPD Standards Office and endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality. Since the Event Academy is the no.1 event trainer in the UK, this gives us the unique ability to introduce you to some great new rising talent.

Benefits of Work Placements

All students come to us having either completed a degree or have previous relevant work experience, and are now dedicated to launching a career in the event industry. Work placements form a vital part of our student's studies and follow directly after the completion of their classroom-based training. We not only train students to be competent at designing and managing events, but also the all-important soft skills such as a strong work ethic, working as part of a team and resilience. When they complete their classroom studies they are keen to put all they have learnt into practice within organisations like yours. Costs

Students understand that their placement may be unpaid, as it forms part of their studies. However, we believe that our students are good enough to warrant a salary as they need to pay for accommodation and other living costs while they work. An offer of a salary would also give you the cutting edge on securing the right talent. Nearly all our current placement companies agree and those few that cannot pay a wage, have at least contributed to travel, sustenance and expenses. We hope you will support us with this.
